Armchair/Shotgun joins The FABfest Four

Our good friends at Greenlight Books in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, wanted to invite some of their favorite literary journals in the city to celebrate the summer with them. And we’re thrilled to have gotten on that list.

On Sunday, June 27th, Armchair/Shotgun is honored to join fellow mags BOMB, A Public Space and Electric Literature at the culmination of the FABfest street fair series, hosted by the Fulton Area Business Alliance.

We’re really looking forward to the author readings, which will run 5pm-6pm. A/S author Travis Kurowski will read from his story “White,” an Issue 1 favorite. For the literarily adventuresome, there will be an Armchair-run short-short-story contest, and a literary trivia contest with questions created by each magazine at the Greenlight sidewalk table from noon to 5 PM.

For the otherwise adventuresome, there will be salsa dancing at noon, a collaborative mural, a song and dance tribute to Michael Jackson, and lessons on giving your pet CPR (only if your pet needs it, please).

Where: Greenlight Bookstore, 686 Fulton St (Lafayette on the C train,
Fulton on the G)
When: Sunday, June 27th, 12pm-6pm (author readings at 5pm)
Who: Us, for sure, and you, we hope!
