Dylan Thomas Day

Armchair/Shotgun has one true holy day, and it centers around one man: Dylan Thomas. The bard of bars died in this fair city, and legend holds ’twas due to a night at the White Horse Tavern at 567 Hudson Street in Greenwich Village. This is debatable, but we have a soft spot for legend.

Supposedly, it took eighteen whiskeys to knock the young man into that good night, and so every November 3rd, the folks at A/S go to the White Horse and split that number amongst us while toasting the poet.  So come join us. We’ll get there around 7:30pm, and we’ll be the drunkards talking about verse.
