Brooklyn Book Festival: Hanging in the place where we dwell
If you’re like us here at Armchair/Shotgun, you’re wondering where summer went and wondering how you can stave off the nagging feeling that you didn’t have enough outdoor book-related experiences over the past three months. Luckily enough for all of us, the Brooklyn Book Festival is coming up on Sunday, September 18th: outside of Brooklyn Borough Hall between 10am and 6pm.
Armchair/Shotgun set aside just enough whiskey money to nab a table at the Book Festival this year and we will be there in full force, with copies of Issues No. 1 and 2, t-shirts, (a flag?), typewriters, umbrellas and sunscreen. Free readings and panels will be happening all day, and borough president Marty Markowitz will periodically proclaim Brooklyn to be the center of the known universe.
