Pictures From Last Week’s Armchair/Shotgun Panel at Greenlight Bookstore
Last week Armchair/Shotgun had the privilege of hosting “From Flash Fiction to Long-form Journalism: Length and Format in the Digital Age,” a panel discussion at Greenlight Bookstore on how technology has opened new platforms for sharing writing, re-popularized forms such as ultra-short (“flash”) fiction and in-depth investigative journalism, and even spurred new interest in hard-copy and artisan journals. Speaking to a packed house were our fantastic panelists: Paul Morris, formerly of BOMB, now Director of Membership, Marketing, and Literary Awards at PEN American Center; The Atavist founding editor Evan Ratliff; fellow lit-agent Erin Harris of Irene Skolnick; Halimah Marcus, Managing Editor at Electric Literature; and Tess Knoebel, Founding Editor of Abe’s Penny (pictured above from left to right with A/S Managing Editor John M. Cusick on the far left).

And look at all you fine people!
Thanks so much to everyone who came out and to our wonderful panelists for all their insights. We certainly learned a lot! And we hope to see you all again at one of our future events, most especially when we celebrate the launch of Issue 3. More on that to come!
